MEXICO — Discussion on the town’s amended ATV policy and approval of several toll road requests are on the agenda for selectmen at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Calvin P. Lyons room of the Town Office.

At the June 10 board meeting, selectmen voted unanimously to approve ATV access on Mitchell, Granite, Hill, Pine and Brook streets after Clyde Wardwall, trail master of the Mexico ATV Riders, made a request.

Other changes in the ATV policy included increasing the speed limit from 10 to 15 mph for ATVs and allowing residents to travel less than 500 yards on any road to access an approved trail or a road that allows ATV access.

Following the vote, Selectman Reggie Arsenault asked Wardwall to return to the board in September to see if there were any complaints about opening the ATV access to the streets mentioned.

Selectmen will also entertain several toll road requests from local organizations.

Selectmen voted in August to place a limit of four toll roads on Main Street between Labor Day and Memorial Day.
