POLAND SPRING — A course titled Basic Soil Erosion and Sediment Control will be held from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, at Cyndi’s Dockside Restaurant, Pavilion Room, on Route 26.
It is presented by the Maine Department of Environmental Protection, the Oxford County and the Androscoggin Valley soil and water conservation districts.
State-of-the-art erosion control techniques and ways to save time and money on construction projects will be presented. Attendees qualify to become DEP-certified in erosion and sediment control practices and are eligible for discounts, expedited DEP permitting and other free educational resources.
The fee for the course is $75 for those registering before Oct. 11. A coffee break, lunch and a manual will be provided. For those registering late, the fee will be $85. No refunds will be given for those not showing up without giving notice before Oct. 17.
