DIXFIELD — The Ludden Memorial Library hired a new employee to run the preschool Storytime Hour at 10:30 a.m. every Monday, Librarian Peggy Malley said Tuesday afternoon.
Malley said that the library hired Canton resident Loretta Blancato as the new storytime coordinator. She will be responsible for organizing the weekly story hour and inviting guests to speak to the children.
Malley said that Blancato invited Dixfield resident and author Betsey Anderson to read her new book, “Maggie Goes to Maine,” to the children.
Malley said that the story is about a city dog’s adventures when she explores the fields, woods and lake at her family’s summer camp in Maine.
Anderson will read from her book at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 29, in the basement of the Ludden Memorial Library, Malley said.
