Wow, according to an independent spending report, during a two-week period the Maine Democrat Party spent more than $22,000 on misleading attack mailers against state Senate candidate Eric Brakey, while also trying to confuse people about the record of his opponent, John Cleveland, who has voted against major welfare reform proposals during the past two years.

The opposing party may be spending the big bucks, but the candidate who is actually going house to house and taking the time to talk to the people in the neighborhood is Eric Brakey.

He came to my house recently to ask me for my thoughts on the issues. Maine needs representatives who take the time to listen to their constituents.

Actions speak louder than flashing cash. That’s why I’m voting for Eric Brakey for the Maine Senate, representing Auburn, New Gloucester, Poland, Minot and Mechanic Falls.
