LIVERMORE — A Livermore woman was taken to a Lewiston hospital by helicopter Thursday after her car and a tractor-trailer collided on Route 4.
Sharon Toothaker, 55, was being treated at Central Maine Medical Center where she was listed in critical condition.
Route 4 was closed from Route 108 to Round Pond following the 1:20 p.m. wreck.
Police believe the International tractor-trailer was headed north on Route 4 when Toothaker, traveling in the opposite direction, made a left turn in front of the rig.
Daniel Wade, 38, of New Gloucester, was driving the truck. He was not hurt, police said.
The accident was being reconstructed later Thursday by Maine State Police. Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Deputy Jon Guay was heading the investigation.
