Homemakers plan lawn sale

PERU — The Peru Extension Homemakers will hold a lawn sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at 94 Main St., across from the Post Office.

Mexico High School Class of 1964

DIXFIELD — The Mexico High School Class of ’64 will have their class luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, at Ellis’ Variety, Weld Street.

Lithuanian Heritage Club meeting

RUMFORD — The Lithuanian Heritage Club will meet at noon Wednesday, Oct. 1, at Sam’s Italians on Route 2.

A wonderful time was had at the annual Lithuanian Picnic recently. Picnic guests enjoyed lots of delicious Lithuanian foods and desserts. The Eastlande Lithuanian folk entertainment was outstanding.

Morton Cemetery cleanup requested

MEXICO — The Farrington Morton Cemetery Association requests all arrangements, plant containers and any other decorations to be removed by Oct. 1.

This is to make it possible for the sexton to prepare and clean the cemetery for the winter.
