LIVERMORE — A local woman involved in a motor vehicle accident Thursday on Route 4 was in fair condition Friday, a spokeswoman at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston said Friday.
Sharon Toothaker, 55, had been listed in critical condition when she arrived at the hospital Thursday afternoon.
The Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Department said it was believed an International tractor-trailer was headed north on Route 4 when Toothaker, headed south, made a left turn in front of the rig.
Daniel Wade, 38, of New Gloucester, was driving the truck. He was not hurt, police said.
The accident was reconstructed by Maine State Police with Androscoggin Deputy Jon Guay heading the investigation.
