1946 – 2014

RUMFORD — Michael B. Buotte, 68, died Wednesday, Sept. 24, at Rumford Hospital. He was a resident of Hancock Street in Rumford.

Born in Rumford on April 10, 1946, he was a son of Wilfred and Eva Mae (Giroux) Buotte. He was a graduate of Stephens High School and worked as a sergeant for the Rumford Police Department. Following retirement, he worked for the Mexico Police Department as a patrolman.

Mike was a communicant of Parish of the Holy Savior, St. Athanasius-St. John Church in Rumford. He enjoyed his Wednesday night card games with his friends.

He was married in Rumford on July 15, 2006, to Ann Marie Blouin, of Rumford, who survives him. Other survivors include a son, Kevin Buotte, of Venice Beach, Fla.; two daughters, Kim Buotte of Windham and Heather Buotte of Rumford; three grandchildren, Ethan, Harley and Bentley; a stepson, Greg Blouin, of Biddeford; and his dog, Toby.
