1928 – 2014

LEWISTON — June M. Donnell, 86, a resident of River Road in Leeds, died Friday, Sept. 26, at Montello Manor.

She was born in Leeds on June 4, 1928, a daughter of Burton M. and Irene Ramsdell Mitchell. June attended school in Leeds.

She married Walter Donnell of Bath on Oct. 28, 1950, in Sabattus. They lived in Bath for 20 years, before moving to Leeds in 1970. June was a homemaker and a wonderful and loving mom; she also took care of many children in her home.

June enjoyed her vegetable and flower gardens, and she loved tending to her many houseplants.

June is survived by her children, Burton Donnell and Owen Donnell, both of Leeds, and Brenda Gould and her husband, Kenneth, of Wayne; three grandchildren, Paul L. Gould of Augusta, June M. Gould of Wilton and Sharon L. Simoneau and her husband, Ronald, of Jay; two great-grandchildren, Derrick L. Baker of Wilton and Alanna B. Simoneau of Jay; and her brother, Burton M. Mitchell and his wife, Janet, of Leeds and Leesburg, Fla.

June was predeceased by her parents, Burton and Irene Mitchell; her brother, Sherman Mitchell; and two sisters, Clara Benson and Stella LeBlond.
