1954 – 2014

AUBURN — Jonathan T. “Jona” Holmes, 59, a resident of Boyd Drive in Sabattus passed away peacefully on Friday, Sept. 26, with his loving wife, Cheryl, by his side.

He was born in Lynn, Mass., on Oct. 22, 1954, the son of William E. and Laura A. (Beherre) Holmes.

Survivors include his wife, Cheryl, of Sabattus; three sons, Jason Holmes of Farmington, Daniel Holmes and wife, Melissa, and Nathan Holmes and wife, Sarah, all of Lewiston; one brother, Roger Holmes and wife, Marissa, of Aurora, Colo.; one sister, Gloria Cooper and husband, Jim, of Ohio; and six grandchildren, Jonathan, Gabriel, Evan, Isaiah, Grace and Lily.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Timothy and William Jr.; and one sister, Lorna.
