AUBURN — Auburn Adult and Community Education is taking registration for fall courses. Below is a sample of some of the October offerings. The full list is in the brochure or visit www.auburn.maineadulted.org.

The As, Bs, Cs and Ds of Medicare: The seminar will be informative for current beneficiaries, people beginning Medicare and the adult children/loved ones of Medicare beneficiaries. Starts Oct. 8; no cost.

Plan Ahead for Peace of Mind: A relaxed discussion of the emotional and financial benefits of advance funeral planning, what to plan for and how to go about it. Starts Oct. 14; no cost.

How Money Works: Learn why the rich are getting richer. Discover the concepts they use. Starts Oct. 23; cost $25.

Introduction to Crystals: Talk about how to align stones and crystals to charkas and learn through a guided meditation what stones have to say. Starts Oct. 29; cost $25.

Sea Vegetables for Taste and Nutrition: Go in the kitchen to learn how to prepare dishes with sea vegetables in them. Supply fee $15 payable to instructor. Starts Oct. 28; cost $25.

Introduction to Energy 101: Learn about charkas, participate in energy activities and learn what modalities such as Reiki and Primus can do. Starts Oct. 14; cost $25.

Hobby Gardener to Urban Farmer: A green thumb could mean green in the pocket. Starts Oct. 2; cost $12.

Introduction to Beading: Learn the basics of beading, from materials to basic crimping and leave with a necklace and pair of earrings. Supply fee $15 payable to instructor. Starts Oct. 14; cost $25.

Art of Watercolor: Try techniques and tips to make landscapes with sky, sunsets, mountains and detail. Supply list available upon registering. Starts Oct. 14; cost $66.

Vinyasa Yoga (all levels): Incorporates elements of Tai Chi, Dance Yoga and Shiva Rea’s Vinyasa Yoga. Classes are held at Chill Yoga, 178 Lisbon St. Starts Oct. 27; cost $54.

AAA Safe Driving for Mature Operators: New video and lecture based course designed to increase safe driving awareness for those 55 and older. Starts Oct. 9; cost $20.
