More than a week after a fire in his apartment on Birch Street in Lewiston, Noah Coates, 4, now living on Summer Street in Lewiston, was reunited with his 2-year-old gray tiger cat, Bella, at the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society in Lewiston on Thursday. While looking for hot spots and searching for pets hours after the fire was officially declared out, Lewiston firefighter Bill Bergeron, right, found Bella hiding under an overturned couch in a third-floor apartment, wet and dirty, but otherwise unharmed. He put her in his firetruck and the cat was taken to the Humane Society where they cleaned her up and gave her to a “foster family” until her family could be found.
