Mark Cayer presently is chairman of the Lewiston City Council. I have known him for some time and the one thing I really want to say about him is that he has a lot of good, common sense.
He is quiet, but does a good job as a city councilor. If I lived in District 61, I certainly would vote for him to go to Augusta and do a good job, just as he is doing now.
Every time I have called him for a problem with a road or anything else, he sees to it right away and it gets done. He then emails me to let me know that it has been done.
He would not do foolish things like voting to put awnings over buildings on Lisbon Street.
