RUMFORD- The Rock Room hosted an open house last Tuesday in their downstairs space of the Greater Rumford Community Center and allowed children signing up to make a little music of their own while their parents filled out paperwork.

Justin and Amanda Hamner were on hand to answer questions and chat it up with the nervous youngsters.
The program will run for 16 weeks and cost $160 per student. Group classes will be offered to learn to play the guitar, bass guitar, drums, keyboard and sing vocals. The Rock Room will be holding group classes for students who are in fifth grade and up. There will also be a group class held for adults age 16 and over. The groups will be split by age and skill level.

Anyone interested in taking lessons that are below fifth grade will be required to purchase a private lesson to assess skill level, their level of commitment and attention span of the individual student. After the first initial private lesson the instructor will make a decision on how that individual student should proceed. At the end of the 16 weeks students will put on a rock show.
