Harvest supper at Alder River Grange

BETHEL — A harvest supper will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at the Alder River Grange, 1895 Intervale Road.

Cost is $8 for adults and $3 for children under 12.

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Bridge Club winners at the Lewiston Armory on Oct. 6, were as follows: N/S, 1st in A&B, Richard Allen and Richard Balian; second, Jeanine Kivus and David Lock; third, Rosemarie Goodwin and John Pettengill; second in B, Eileen Potvin and Della Starbird; first in C, Hazel Glazier and Pete Cummings; E/W, first, Luke Merry and Mary Trafton; second, Les Buzzell and Tom Goodwin; third, first in B and C, Cindy Kirchherr and Jim Krainin; second in B, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe.

Winners on Oct. 7 were: first, Luke Merry and Mike Quinn; second, Jeanine Kivus and Fred Letourneau; third, Claire Lyons and Rosemarie Goodwin; fourth, first in B&C, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe; second in B, Sue Kaluzynski and Paul Clement.

Games are played every Monday and Tuesday at 9 a.m. in the Seniors Room at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave. A partner is always guaranteed and all bridge players are welcomed. Call Rosemarie at 754-1431 for more information.

Thomas College rep to visit

BETHEL — A representative from Thomas College in Waterville will visit Telstar High School at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 17.

The representative will meet with students to discuss Thomas’ academic and sports programs, and its residential life opportunities.

Free supper at Second Cong. Church

NORWAY – A free supper will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, at Second Congregational Church, UCC, 205 Main St.

All are invited to join for a delicious dinner including desserts by Bruce.
