As a small business owner in Maine, I know first-hand the struggles small businesses go through just to stay open, not even mentioning making a profit.

I have talked to Bettyann Sheats on several occasions and I know first-hand her support for small businesses in Maine.

She has spent many hours in Augusta talking with legislators while encouraging me and other small businesses to also make legislators aware that their actions affect us on a daily basis.

I wrote a letter in support of the jobs bill that she worked on but it was overturned by Gov. LePage.

I know she feels very strongly about the big box stores that come in and make it impossible for the little guys, like me, to stay alive.

We need people like Bettyann Sheats in Augusta or we will lose more small businesses, and others will be less likely to open in Maine.
