1966 – 2014
RUMFORD — Denise Dawn Crawford, 48, died Wednesday, Oct. 15, at Rumford Hospital, surrounded by her family following a brief illness. She was a resident of Isthmus Road in Rumford.
Born in Rumford on March 3, 1966, she was a daughter of James and Caroline (Warmack) Stone. She was a graduate of Rumford High School and worked for the Department of Transportation and in health care/nursing.
Denise enjoyed camping, reading, going to the casino and spending time with family and friends and her two German shepherds, Sable and Dakota.
She was married in Rangeley on Oct. 1, 1988, to Richard J. Crawford, who survives her of Rumford. Other survivors include her parents, James and Caroline Stone of Rangeley; a brother, Douglas Stone and his companion, Perri-Lyn Robin, of Mexico; a sister, Leslie Walton and her husband, Kris, of Dallas Plantation; and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Rumford Hospital and its staff, Central Maine Medical Center and its staff and the staff at Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice for their care of Denise.
