RUMFORD- The new River Valley branch of Franklin Savings Bank, located on the corner of Congress Street, is just about complete of their remodel and their staff of 16 is excited and eager to show you around. Even though the building has been through a face lift, they still have the same high level of customer service you’ve always known and come to expect.

“I just want to reach out to our community and thank them for their patience during the last few months,” stated Diane Perry, manager of the River Valley branch. “I know some days they had to come in through a construction zone, but they were all patient and understanding.”

As you walk through either of the newly-designed entry ways, you’ll immediately notice the modernization of the teller line and the offices, but what has remained the same, are the skilled customer service representatives, waiting to serve you with a smile.

“We love the look and design of the branch,” stated Perry. “Not only is it a more modern look, but the real reason behind the design was for better security. Anyone in any of our offices can see the teller line from where they sit and the tellers can see customers from the moment they step through our doors, adding to the enhanced customer experience.”

The River Valley branch has been in Rumford since 1968 and has grown to have the largest volume in the area. They’re excited to have all their resources under one roof and to continue to make local decisions for your family or business.

“It’s our mission to work for the residents of our community and to make this whole transition as painless as possible,” noted Perry. “We’re very excited to be more visible on the island and to show people that we’re invested.”
Employees of Franklin serve the community in a variety of ways. They are highly involved in various community events, as well as serving on local boards such as the River Valley Chamber of Commerce and the River Valley Growth Council.

“We’re like a family here at the branch and we extend that feeling of support to everyone who walks through our doors.”

With that being said, Franklin utilized as many local contractors as they could during the remodel and continue to support locally by donating some of their gently used office furniture to local businesses in need.

While the branch is almost complete in receiving its’ makeover, you can expect the parking lot to be revamped, as well, come spring.
