Mike Caron and his partner, Stacia Turner, work on the baby room of their annual haunted house in Lewiston on Sunday. Caron and Turner start building the set each August for “The Never Rest Graveyard,” the haunted house they have hosted for the past 14 years. Caron said about 10 people will help him scare visitors on Halloween night this Friday as he raises money for the local animal shelter. Admission is free, but money, pet food or pet toy donations are appreciated, Caron said. Turner and Caron match whatever money comes in. “We have had as many as 700 people come through,” Turner said. The graveyard at 362 East Ave. is open from 5 p.m. until whenever the last guest leaves on Oct. 31. “The big thing for us is to donate to the animal shelter. It means a lot to us,” Turner said. “And we have a lot of fun making everything,” Caron said.
