LIVERMORE FALLS — The staff and trustees of the George Winfield Treat Memorial Library will host an open house to celebrate 60 years in the Main Street building.
The event will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, at the Main Street. Refreshments will be available.
The open house will also showcase improvements made at the library, including energy efficiency and the new look of the auditorium.
The building was erected and given to the town through the generosity of Elsie Treat in memory of her husband, George. It was dedicated Oct. 30, 1954.
