Honey bee club to hold workshop

PARIS — Oxford Hills Honey Bee Club will hold a workshop at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Oxford County Extension Center, 9 Olson Road, South Paris. Members will answer questions on wintering bees. For more information, contact Kevin at [email protected].

Deering Memorial free breakfasts

PARIS — Deering Memorial United Methodist Church will host free community breakfasts from 8 to 9 a.m. each Sunday.

The menu changes weekly with some of the most popular items being baked stuffed French toast, homemade cinnamon rolls, egg casseroles, home fries and pancakes. There is always cereal, toast, coffee, juice and fruit.

Organizers welcome help or donations of breakfast supplies. A free-will offering is available for anyone wishing to donate toward the cost of the breakfast.

Swingin’ Bears to host dance

PARIS — The Swingin’ Bears Square Dance Club will host a dance from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, in the cafeteria of the Oxford Hills Middle School, 100 Pine St., South Paris.

Don Bachelder of Bernardston, Mass., will call mainstream and plus levels for the square dancing and Carol Arsenault of Dresden will cue the round dancing.

Refreshments will be served at intermission. There will be door prizes and a 50/50 drawing. Admission is $6 a person. Nondancers are welcome to attend free. Host/hostesses will be Richie and Ellen Janerico, Esther Tucker and Eleanor Herrick.
