Lodge to hold pork dinner

NEW SHARON — A roast pork dinner is on the menu at the Franklin Masonic Lodge from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9. It will be served with potato, coleslaw, vegetables, rolls and homemade pie.

Take-out will be available. Cost is adults, $8; age 6 to 12, $6; under 6, free. Proceeds will benefit the building fund.

Program for birthday of Marines

WAYNE — The 239th birthday of the U.S. Marine Corps will be celebrated at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10, in the Williams House, 14 Old Winthrop Road.

After a social gathering, a short program will be offered that includes a reading of the “Birthday Message” and a cake-cutting ceremony.
