LISBON — Lisbon voters approved air quality improvements in municipal buildings and schools Tuesday night.
There will be new heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems at Lisbon Community School, Sugg Middle School and Lisbon High School as well as changes to the buildings to make them more efficient.
Efficiency changes will also be made to the fire station, the library, the wastewater treatment facility, the community center and the transfer station and recycling center.
The municipal building changes call for financing costs to be no more than $860,000. At the schools, the costs would be no more than $900,000 for efficiency changes and less than $859,000 for the HVAC systems.
Dale Crafts won the at-large seat on the Town Council. Crafts graduated from high school this past spring and works for his stepfather’s general contracting firm, Mattra Inc., in Lewiston.
