1941 – 2014
PERU — Jerome D. “Jerry” Bragdon, 73, died Thursday, Nov. 6, at his home on Auburn Road in Peru, with his loving family by his side.
He was born in Ashland on April 15, 1941, a son of Reginald and Arlene (Ellis) Bragdon, and graduated from Ashland Community High School, Class of 1959. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1961 to 1965.
Jerry worked as a technician at COMSAT in Andover for many years and then at Verizon, until his retirement in 2008.
He was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, a former member of the Peru Fire Department and loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He was married in Rumford on April 25, 1970, to the former Constance Virginia “Ginny” Hoskins, who survives of Peru. Other survivors include a son, Reginald G. Bragdon and wife, Kathleen, of Woodbridge, Va.; a daughter, Pamela Bragdon and companion, Michal Jakimowicz, of Weare, N.H.; four grandchildren, Brendan Fournier of Hooksett, N.H., Bonnie “Ellie” Bragdon of Weare, N.H., and Annabelle and Connor Bragdon of Woodbridge, Va.; and three sisters, Lenora Blake and husband, Warren, of Palmyra, Paula MacDonald of Dixfield and Leah Jane Anderson of Palmyra.
He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Burnett Bragdon.
