FARMINGTON — Franklin Community Health Network has launched a new page on its website about the Ebola virus.

It includes information about how it is transmitted, symptoms and who is at risk of contracting the virus.

Users can also view a slideshow developed by the Franklin Memorial Hospital Education Department and download fact sheets on frequently asked questions.

The page can be accessed at www.fchn.org/news/ebola-updates.

The website is updated regularly about developments related to the hospital’s preparedness for an Ebola case and its response to a potential suspected case.

The page includes links to other websites for information on Ebola, including the federal and state Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, the World Health Organization, the National Library of Medicine Ebola resource page and the American Public Health Association.

Franklin Community Health Network is a member of the MaineHealth system. FCHN includes Franklin Memorial Hospital, Franklin Health medical practices, Evergreen Behavioral Services, NorthStar EMS and the Healthy Community Coalition of Greater Franklin County.
