If Stags’ 35-6 bashing of Bangor is any indication, they get better against a good opponent the second time.

4. Marshwood 10-0 (4)

Hawks have ended York’s season with a playoff loss each of the past two seasons. It will take a substantial upset for that streak not to hit three.

5. Bonny Eagle 6-3 (5)

Scots look the odd-team-out in the Class A final four, but let’s not forget they’re the reigning state champions.

6. Brunswick 8-1 (6)

Will Bessey ran so many near-100 yard dashes against Messalonskee that it looked like a scouting combine.

7. Bangor 6-4 (7)

No team traveled more miles, or spent more time making opponents stop one play, than the Rams.

8. Portland 6-4 (8)

Not much doubt that you’ll be hearing from the Bulldogs in 2015 after a sensational second half.

9. Lawrence 8-2 (-)

Bulldogs knocked off defending state champion Cony on the road and clearly know how to get it done this time of year.

10. Leavitt 9-1 (9)

Thirty-three touchdown passes? There were schools that didn’t throw that many in the entire decade of the 1950s.
