LEWISTON — The Women’s Hospital Association of Central Maine Medical Center is currently working on the 31st Annual Tree of Love. The proceeds generated from this event will benefit the Cancer Care Immediate Needs Fund.

Each year a tree is set up in the hospital lobby and decorated with paper ornaments that donors have purchased with the name of the honored or in memory of a loved one.

There are three levels of donations: $5 donations receive one outside light and one inside paper ornament, $10 donations receive one outside light and one inside paper ornament with a silver bow and the $25 donation will have one outside light, one inside paper ornament with silver bow and one ornament inscribed.

Donation forms may be obtained within the next two weeks at the CMMC Gift Shop located in the hospital entrance at 60 High St.

Purchased ornaments that have been inscribed may be picked up at the tree lighting on Dec. 5 at 4 p.m. A short program will take place at that time in the mezzanine of the lobby and light refreshments will be served
