1958 – 2014

COLCHESTER, Vt. — Marcel R. Marquis, of 96 Poor Farm Road in Colchester, Vt., went to Heaven on Tuesday, Nov. 11.

Born in Lewiston on July 29, 1958, to Maurice and Jeannine (Moreau) Marquis, Marcel was a graduate of Lewiston High School, Class of 1976, and Southern New Hampshire University, Class of 2001. He worked for Shaw’s Supermarket for 40 years as a store and district manager.

Marcel was passionate about hockey and was a referee for the past 24 years. He was a Patriots and Montreal Canadiens fan, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends and summers at his cottage in Maine. He had an ability to make friends anywhere he went and will be missed by many.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; children, Michael (Traci), Erika (Jason) and Brandon (Jessica); grandchildren, Lilliana, Brooklyn, Willa, Amelia and Mason; his father, Maurice; sisters, Diane (Dave) and Debbie; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Michelle Marquis; and mother, Jeannine Marquis.
