1962 – 2014

JAY — Jaye J. Simoneau, 52, of Jay died Friday, Nov. 14, at home with family at his side.

Jaye was born in Farmington on July 7, 1962, a son of Laurier and Frances (Pineau) Simoneau, and he received his education in Jay schools. On Sept. 7, 1985, he married his soul-mate, Tina Costello. He was employed at International Paper/Verso Paper in Jay for 29 years prior to his illness.

Jaye was a true lover of the outdoors, enjoying hunting, fishing, hiking, snowmobiling and riding his ATV. He was a dedicated family man, enjoying the time he spent with his “three girls” and his grandson, Hunter, who was his “ray of sunshine.” Jaye was always willing to lend a helping hand to family, friends and those he met along the way.

He is survived by his wife and best friend of 29 years, Tina of Jay; two daughters, Kristen Simoneau and her companion, Justin Easter, of China Lake and Kasey Flagg and her husband, Cole, and their son, Hunter, of Canton; sisters, Brenda Romano and her husband, Barry, of Livermore Falls and Debbie Lambert and her husband, Bob, of Waterboro; brother, Rick Simoneau and his wife, Lisa, of Jay; father-in-law, Roger Costello and his partner, Margie Norwood, of Delaware; brother- and sister-in-law, Jerry and Sharon Costello of Mt. Vernon, sister-in-law, Donna Greeley and partner, Wayne Fish, of Livermore; and many nieces and nephews.
