1923 – 2014
RUMFORD — Alvine Arsenault, 90, of Pine Street passed away on Sunday, Nov. 16, at her residence following a brief illness, with her loving family at her side.
She was born in Rumford on Dec. 31, 1923, a daughter of Henry O. and Philomene Arsenault. Alvine attended St. John School. She was employed as a nurse’s aide in the pediatric unit at Rumford Hospital for 30 years.
Alvine was a communicant of Parish of the Holy Savior. Her greatest love in life was sewing. She also loved cooking and spending time with family, especially her great-grandson, Bretton.
Surviving are her son, Roger Arsenault and wife, Barbara, of Rumford; a brother, Gerald Arsenault, of Rumford; two grandchildren, Brian and wife, Jessica, and Steven and companion, Tanya Nicols; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; three sisters, Florence Blanchard, Anna Sirois and Lydia Fortin; and five brothers, Edward, Euclide, Melvin, Lionel and Armand.
