Old Town police are seeking help from the public in finding a person who broke into a vehicle and stole a shotgun earlier this month.
According to police, a hunter’s vehicle parked on the Southgate Road near the Birch Stream Landing was broken into on Nov. 12 sometime between 6:30 and 7:30 a.m. .A Benelli pump action shotgun, along with clothing and other hunting equipment, was stolen. The vehicle was locked and whoever burglarized the vehicle broke a window to gain entry. The vehicle’s alarm was activated, but the burglar was not deterred.
Police are asking that anyone with information to contact the Old Town Police Department at 207 -827-3984.
