1973 – 2014

AUBURN — Christine Jane Bornales, 41, of Auburn, died unexpectedly on Saturday, Nov. 15, at her home.

She was born on Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines on April 19, 1973, a daughter of the late Gary Scott and M. Luisa Bornales of Lewiston. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of New England.

Christine served in the U.S. Army for a number of years as a dental specialist and later went to work as a dental hygienist.

A very artistic person, she enjoyed painting as well as gardening and the outdoors. She was well-loved and would give the shirt off her back; Christine was an inspiration to many.

Besides her mother, Christine is survived by her son, Vincent X. Gomez; her two brothers, Gilbert and Christopher Bornales; and her sister, Judy Bornales. She also leaves her dog, Napoleon, whom she loved like a son.
