Franklin Memorial Hospital (FMH) is excited to host Doc 4 a Day, a career exploration program designed to ignite an interest in high school students to consider and explore a career as a physician on Monday, December 8, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Franklin Memorial Hospital.

Area high school students who have strengths in math and science and an interest in pursuing a career as a physician are encouraged to apply.  Participants will have an opportunity to experience hands-on clinical activities in the Simulation Lab, participate in a round table discussion with current medical students and residents, and learn how to navigate the barriers between high school and medical school. FMH hosted this program last year, with great success.

This is a FREE program (including lunch). Students are only responsible for transportation to and from Franklin Memorial Hospital.  There is limited space available for Doc 4 a Day. The registration deadline is December 1.

If you would like more information about the program or to register a student for the program, please contact Lorri Brown, AHEC Director at Franklin Memorial Hospital, at ljbrown@fchn.org or 779-2233.
