1975 – 2014

LEWISTON — Chad Joseph Bowie, 39, of Auburn, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, at Central Maine Medical Center.

He was born in Portland on May 18, 1975, a son of Nelson A. Bowie and wife, Dianne; and mother, Jane Pierce Mead, and husband, James.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and anything outdoors. He had a real green thumb and loved gardening and spending time with family and friends, and his constant companion, Roxy.

He was a qualified construction associate skilled in masonry.

He is survived by his son, Jonathan Bowie, of Biddeford; siblings, Donnie Bowie, Jason O’Connor, Joe O’Donnell, Michelle Bourne, Erin Dunford and Deanne Mead of Gray; fianceé, Melissa Morrison, and children, Sam, Kaitlyn and Riley of Auburn; and his closest friends, Mitch and Payson.

He was predeceased by his sister, Mandy Mead.

Chad touched everyone he knew with his big heart, unflinching loyalty and protection of those he loved. He lived with passion and intensity, and poured his heart and soul into his accomplishments.
