The Orono Village Association invites folks to join their friends and neighbors as Orono lights up its downtown for the holidays this Monday, December 1. The schedule of events is as follows:
4:30-5 p.m.: Enjoy live holiday music, drink some hot chocolate, eat some cookies and visit with thiose attendance. Music and refreshments will be located at the new plaza in front of University Credit Union.
5 p.m.: Watch as the downtown comes alive with lights on holiday trees. Then follow Santa on the fire truck and join the caroling procession with the Orono High School Chorus from downtown to the University Inn.
5:15 p.m.: Help the OHS Chorus and Santa countdown to the tree lighting at the University Inn.
5:30 p.m.: Meet Santa and share your holiday wishes with him in the University Inn lobby. Enjoy snacks provided by the Orono Village Association.
