1943 – 2014
AUBURN — Vivien C. Gustwick, 71, of Lisbon Falls, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, Nov. 23, at the Hospice House following a brief illness.
She was born on Sept. 28, 1943, in Surbiton, Surrey, U.K., the daughter of the late Ernest and Phyllis (Preston) Eager. She grew up in England and attended schools there.
Vivien met her husband, Paul F. Gustwick Jr., in Bermuda, while she was working there as a nurse midwife and they were married on Dec. 13, 1968. They lived in various locations, before settling in Maine in 1975. Vivien enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was an enthusiast of ancestry research.
She is survived by her two children, Sarah Hanson and her husband, David, of Lisbon Falls and Christopher Gustwick and his wife, Michelle, of Beaufort, S.C. She also leaves behind her four grandchildren, Cody and Cooper Gustwick, Cali Hardacker and Brinley Hanson; her brother, Geoffrey Eager and his wife, Sheila, of the United Kingdom; as well as a special niece, Marianne “Maz,” and her brother, Richard.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Paul, in 2004.
