1947 – 2014
BETHEL — Mary M. “Mimi” Brown, 67, died at her residence on Tuesday, Nov. 25, with loving family at her side.
She was born in Norway on Oct. 30, 1947, a daughter of the late Dwight Morrill and Arlene Sanderson. She was educated in local schools, graduating from Gould Academy in 1966, the same year she married the love of her life, Reginald Brown.
Mary was employed at Bethel Inn and Country Club as a function coordinator for over 30 years.
Mary loved to cook and go camping. She was an avid quilter and knitter.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Reggie Brown, of Bethel; her mother, Arlene Bean and husband, Sonny, of West Bethel; two sons, Scott Dwight Brown and Nathan Brown, both of Bethel; one daughter, Melissa Brown, of North Yarmouth; two sisters, Darlene Baker of Waterford and Kathy Jo Farran of West Bethel; two stepsisters, Lorna Mahar and Marlene Bean; one stepbrother, Kevin Bean; and six grandchildren, Tyler Brown of Bethel, Travis Brown of West Bethel, Bella Brown of Bethel, Wilson Brown of Bethel, Devanne Goodine of North Yarmouth and Justin Goodine of Gray.
She was predeceased by her father, Dwight Morrill; two stepbrothers, Peter Bean and Mark Bean; and one stepsister, Leslie Bean.
