WILTON — Rebecca Ann Tachick, daughter of Karen Tachick of Rio Rancho, N.M., and John Modl of Albuquerque, N.M., and Andrew Nelson Mellen, son of Patricia and Thomas Mellen of Wilton and Mesa, Ariz., were married on Aug. 9.

The ceremony was held beside Varnum Pond at the Mellen’s summer home in Wilton, with Kari Delany, of Denver, Colo., officiating at the ceremony.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by KC Pagano of Tucson, Ariz., and Jeanette Cerami of Chicago, Ill., as maids of honor. Kathryn Howland of Seattle, Wash., Jasmine Ruth of Rio Rancho, N.M., Tara Stroup of Denver, Colo., and Lyndsay Corbett of Astoria, N.Y., served as bridesmaids. Flower girls were Sofia and Viola Pagano of Tucson, Ariz.

The best men were Jonathan Mellen of Boston, and Matthew Mellen of Sunnyvale, Calif., brothers of the bridegroom, and John Morton, of Arlington, Mass. Michael Potter of Groton, Mass., and Joseph Gagnepain of Watertown, Mass., served as groomsmen. Jessica Gramlich of Groton, Mass., Abby Wheeler of Portland, Daisy Adams Ellard of Dover, N.H., Kate Frederic Morton of Arlington, Mass., and Angela McNally of Brooklyn, N.Y., served as ushers.

The bride and bridegroom graduated from the University of Denver in Colorado with bachelors’ degrees. The bride also attended the University of Buenos Aires and is currently a pre-med student at Harvard University Extension School. The bridegroom is a real estate appraiser trainee in Newton, Mass.

After an adventure in the Dominican Republic, the couple resides in Watertown, Mass.
