Auburn VFW plans ham supper

AUBURN — A ham supper will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, at the VFW, 588 Minot Ave.

Price is $7 for adults and $3 for kids. All proceeds help support local veterans.

Senior Citizens Cribbage League

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Senior Citizens Cribbage League winners at the Lewiston Memorial Armory on Nov. 26 were: first, Cindy Boyd and Stan Tetenman; second, Val Asselin and Ike LeCompte; third, Dolly Jones and Steve Agurkis; fourth, Mickie Farnum and Jeanine Labbe; fifth, Vicki Thayer-Adams and Gil Cote.

Congratulations to Aaron Burke for receiving his first 29 hand.

Weekly bingo at Lewiston Elks

LEWISTON — Bingo is held at noon every Wednesday at the Lewiston Elks on Lisbon Road.

Doors open at 10:30. Food and drinks are available to purchase.

Pinochle, pitch players welcome

LEWISTON — Pinochle and pitch card games for seniors are played weekly during the summer at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave.

New players are always welcome. Pitch is played at 1 p.m. on Tuesdays. Pinochle is at 1 p.m. on Thursdays. Refresher courses are available in both categories.

League play started the first week in September.

The armory is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Thursday. You must become a member to play.

BUCKFIELD — The Congregational Church of East Sumner will have a raffle table at the Holiday Fair at Buckfield Junior Senior High School on Route 140 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6.

Dillingham DAR to meet Dec. 10

NEW GLOUCESTER — The Mary Dillingham Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, at Carol MacNeill’s home on Bald Hill Road.

This is the annual Christmas party. bring a gift to exchange that costs no more than $10.

Carol MacNeill will be the speaker. Snow date will be Thursday, Dec. 11. Prospective members are welcome.
