The Rangeley Region Guides’ and Sportsmen’s Association (RRG&SA) will host a 2-day Wilderness First Aid Course on Saturday, April 18 through Sunday, April 19, 2015 and a 4-day Registered Maine Guide Course on Thursday, April 23 through Sunday, April 26, 2015. Both course will be held at the RRG&SA Clubhouse in Oquossoc and run 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily.
The Wilderness First Aid Course is designed for Registered Maine Guides, Trip Leaders, Backpackers, Campers, and those that enjoy the backcountry. It will provide instruction on first aid and basic care in remote locations to include CPR Certification.
The Registered Maine Guide Course will provide comprehensive instruction on the information needed to prepare for the hunting, fishing and recreational Registered Maine Guide tests administered by Maine IF&W.
The courses will be administered by Maine’s Outdoor Learning Center, www.mainesoutdoorlearningcenter.com. Additional information on both courses can be found at: www.mainesoutdoorlearningcenter.com/weekend.html.
The fee for the Wilderness First Aid Course is $195pp and the Registered Maine Guide Course is $495pp. Class size will be limited to a minimum of 6 and maximum of 16 students.
