LEWISTON — A funeral Mass honoring the life of Lionel B. Landry was celebrated on Tuesday at Holy Cross Church, following prayers at the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home. Monsignor Marc Caron celebrated the Mass and recited committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery. During the Mass, the first reading was read by Lionel’s daughter, Suzanne Janelle, the second reading was read by his grandson, Samuel Leal, and the Prayer of the Faithful was read by his granddaughter, Renee Fitzpatrick. The offertory was brought to the altar by Lionel’s granddaughters, Elizabeth Tucker and Danielle Thompson. Words of remembrance were expressed by Lionel’s daughter, Pauline Beare. Bearers were Lionel’s grandchildren, Joseph Beare, Zach and Ben Leal, Ethan and Lillie Silverstein and Olivia Rosen. A reception of fellowship was held at Marco’s Restaurant following the committal services at the cemetery.
