LEWISTON — The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency arrested three people Sunday in a Lewiston parking lot on drug charges.

According to an MDEA statement, agents were investigating drug trafficking in the Lewiston-Auburn area when they saw what they believed was a drug transaction at about 4 p.m. Sunday in a vehicle in a Sabattus Street parking lot.

Agents detained Gregory St. Pierre, 35, of Lewiston, Kayla Fraser, 25, of Auburn and Matthew Mennealy, 33 of Auburn. The three were in the vehicle, according to an MDEA statement. The agents said they found crack cocaine, oxycodone pills, heroin, fentanyl and prescription medications packaged for resale in the vehicle. A loaded handgun also was found.

MDEA agents got a search warrant for Mennealy and Fraser’s home at 733 Hatch Road, Auburn. MDEA agents said they found crack cocaine, heroin, fentanyl, oxycodone pills, digital scales and five guns. The MDEA estimated the street value of the drugs at $60,000.

Maine State Police, Lewiston and Auburn police assisted in the arrests and investigation. 

St. Pierre was charged with unlawful possession of a scheduled drug, carrying a concealed weapon — a knife — and trafficking in dangerous knives. Fraser and Mennealy each had multiple charges of aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs and carrying a concealed weapon.

The three suspects were taken to Androscoggin County Jail in Auburn and had initial court appearances Monday in Lewiston District Court. Bail was set for Mennealy at $50,000 cash, Fraser at $2,000 cash and St. Pierre at $250 cash.
