PARIS — A grand jury has indicted a Fryeburg man on 33 counts stemming from a crime spree over the Fourth of July weekend.
Cameron Henry, 20, of Bridgton Road was indicted by an Oxford County grand jury Friday on a felony count of burglary and misdemeanor charges, including 15 counts of theft, 14 counts of burglary of a motor vehicle, criminal mischief, refusing to submit to arrest and stealing drugs.
Henry was arrested July 7 after police chased him from the Quinns Jockey Cap motel and convenience store, where they responded there to an alarm. At the time, police said Henry broke through a back door and took whisky, vodka and beef jerky, all of which were later recovered.
A week later, police linked Henry to a rash of car burglaries over the Fourth of July weekend, when they said he stole items from multiple unlocked cars on Bridgton Road, Lovewell Pond Road, Smith Street and other roads
According to the indictment, on July 6 Henry took goods at random from 14 cars. The items included an iPod, tools, a digital camera, money and prescription drugs.
Police recovered some of the stolen electronics taken from the vehicles and are contacting owners.
