Band to play for dance
PARIS — The Jones Dance Band will play old-fashioned dance music from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, at the Legion Hall, Church Street, South Paris. Cost is $5.
Soup and Chowder Fest
OTISFIELD — The annual Soup and Chowder Fest will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, at East Otisfield Free Baptist Church.
Fish chowder, ham and pea soup, beef stew, corn chowder, vegetarian soup, rolls, biscuits and desserts, all homemade, will be served. Gluten-free options will be available.
Donation will be appreciated. The church is located at 231 Rayville Road.
Bee club to hear speaker
PARIS — The Oxford Hills Honey Bee Club will meet at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, at the Oxford County Extension Center, 9 Olson Road, South Paris.
Commercial beekeeper Tony Bachelder will discuss feeding bees in the winter and ordering nucs.

Supper, dance at Legion
GREENWOOD — A Fish Chowda, Chili and Cook’s Choice Supper and Dance will take place Saturday, Jan. 10, sponsored by the Greenwood Fire Department, Post 68 and the Shadagee Ramblers Band.
Supper will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. and the dance will follow until 10 p.m. The supper is $6 and the dance is $6.
