Jones band to play Saturdays
PARIS — The Jones Dance Band will play old-fashioned dance music from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturdays, Jan. 10, 17, 24 and 31, at the Legion Hall, Church Street, South Paris. Cost is $5.
Artist to share experiences from India
NORWAY — Norway artist and art educator Nikki Millonzi spent the month of November traveling with others in northern India. She will share her pictures and experiences from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11, at CEBE (Center for Ecology Based Economy), 447 Main St., next to Fare Share Co-op. The public is invited.
Library to help with eReaders, tablets
PARIS — The Paris Public Library will host another eBooks, eReaders & Tablets Help Night at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13.
This will be an interactive session where patrons can learn how to download eBooks from the library, learn about other eBook sources and obtain more general help using their devices.
The library will also provide eReader and tablet assistance on a drop-in basis on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons. Just bring in your device and any questions that you may have.

Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge
OXFORD — Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge Club met Jan. 2. A 6 1/2 table Howell movement was enjoyed.
Finishing first in flight A were Marta Clements (Woodstock) and Hazel Glazier (Norway), second were Mike Newsom (South Paris) and Rick Verrill (Gorham) who also were first in flight B, third in A were Cynthia and Bill Clifford Jr. (Lewiston) who also were second in flight B, fourth were Paul Mitnik (Vassalboro) and Paul Sherman (Winthrop).
Finishing third in flight B were B.J. and Steve Cavicchi (Bridgton) who also were first in flight C, fourth were Diane and Jim Fallon (Bridgton) tied with Cindy and Bob Kirchherr (South Paris) who also were tied for second and third, fourth were Denny Raymond (Waterford) and Hank Sakrison (Poland).
