BETHEL — The Oxford County Democrats will hold a potluck lunch and meeting at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11, at Crescent Park School. The lunch and social time will begin at 12:30, with the meeting beginning at 1:30. In case of bad weather, the event will be Sunday, Jan. 18.

Maine Democratic Party Chair Phil Bartlett of Gorham, and Vice-chair Peggy Schaffer of Vassalboro will be in attendance and will lead a discussion of the 2014 election and plans for the 2016 cycle. There will be representatives from groups circulating petitions for referenda.

Business items will include election of a member of the Maine Democratic State Committee and a member of the Maine Democratic Party Rules Committee, as well as filling the positions of chair, vice-chair, treasurer and secretary for the 2015-16 cycle.

Those attending are asked to bring a food item to share such as a hot dish, sandwich fixings, salads or dessert item, as well as a canned or packaged donation for the local food pantry.
