AUBURN — Ian Mileikis led all scorers with 21 points and pulled down eight rebounds to spark Edward Little to a 64-55 victory over Oxford Hills. Elijah Rowe added 12 points for the undefeated Eddies (9-0), while Llewellyn Jensen chipped in with nine points and nine boards.

Andrew Fleming led the Vikings (4-5) with 18 points, and Tyus Ripley added 17.

Buckfield 69, Temple Academy 44

BUCKFIELD — Jon Randolph scored 13 points, including 10 in the second quarter as Buckfield broke open a close game with 26 points in the frame, and the Bucks downed Temple Academy 69-44 in boys’ basketball. Jake Kraske also had a big game for Buckfield (2-7), netting 11 points to go with five assists and four steals, and Darren Rowe connected on three shots from out deep during a third quarter run for nine points.

Bradley Smith led the Bereans (2-7) with 12 points, and Dominic Blaisdell added 11 points.

Winslow 78, Leavitt 50

WINSLOW — Justin Martin poured in 26 points, including four three-pointers, as Winslow connected on 13 buckets from beyond the arc in front of the home crowd and defeated Leavitt 78-50. Nason Lanphier had 19 points for the Raiders, with five three-pointers, and Josh Kervin added 11 points in the victory.

Eli Calder had 11 points for the Hornets (4-6), and his brother Ian Calder added nine. Gabe Seely had seven points for Leavitt.

Boothbay 79, Oak Hill 33

WALES — The undefeated Seahawks (8-0) exploded for 30 points in the first quarter and never looked back, downing Oak Hill 79-33 in boys’ basketball. Evan Hepburn had 17 points to lead Boothbay, and his brother John Hepburn and Joseph DiMauro each scored 10 points in the win.

Evan Boston and Connor Elwell led the Raiders (2-7) with eight points each.

Dirigo 78, Wiscasset 54

WISCASSET — Riley Robinson dropped in 30 points while teammates Cooper Chiasson and Luke Lueders added seven apiece as Dirigo won 78-54 at Wiscasset. Robinson did much of his damage from downtown, with four treys in the contest for the Cougars.

Ethan James paced the Wolverines with 13 points and seven rebounds.

Spruce Mountain 49, Waterville 41

JAY — Senior forward Deonte Ring collected 16 points as Spruce Mountain hiked to a 49-41 victory over Waterville in KVAC boys’ basketball action Tuesday.

The Phoenix (6-4) scored 36 points in the second half to turn around a 22-13 deficit at intermission. Austin Darling posted a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds for Spruce Mountain.

Junior shooting guard Devon Begin recorded a team-high 14 points for the Purple Panthers (1-8) in the losing effort.

Poland 72, Freeport 49

POLAND — Junior forward John Fossett dazzled with 25 points to lead Poland to a 72-49 victory over Freeport in WMC boys’ basketball action Tuesday.

The Knights (3-5) clamored for 24 points in the first quarter, and played even the rest of the way. Adam Mocciola contributed five field goals, including three from 3-point range for Poland

Junior guard Jack Davenport recorded a team-high 20 points for the Falcons (0-8) in the losing effort.

Valley 62, Rangeley 28

RANGELEY — Junior guard Cody Lawyerson skillfully pocketed 18 points to lead Valley to a 62-28 victory over Rangeley in EWC boys’ basketball action Tuesday.

The Cavaliers (7-2) executed a daunting press, and took a commanding 34-13 hafltime lead. Junior center Collin Miller contributed 17 points for Valley.

Junior guard Timmy White posted a team-leading 15 points for the Lakers (3-60 in the losing effort.

Mountain Valley 64, Mt. Abram 31

RUMFORD — Caleb Gauvin poured in 16 points as Mountain Valley soared to a 64-31 victory over Mt. Abram in boys’ basketball action Tuesday.

The Falcons (5-5) leveled a balanced attack, taking a 35-16 halftime lead. Ryley Flynn notched 14 points to assist Mountain Valley on offense.

Quinton Hanna found the basket seven times for a team-leading 15 points for the Roadrunners (2-7) in the losing effort.

St. Dom’s 45, Monmouth 38

AUBURN — Keenan Lynch and Mike Bryant tabulated 14 points each to lead St. Dom’s to a 45-38 triumph over Monmouth in boys’ basketball action Tuesday.

Becket Wagner hauled down 12 rebounds to go along with seven points for the Saints. Luis Allen, Sam Rines and Camden Jalbert provided excellent contributions from the bench for St. Dom’s.

Junior guard Luke Thombs connected for three 3-pointers and a team-leading 11 points for the Mustangs. Senior forward Kasey Smith shared offensive support with 10 points for Monmouth.

Gray-NG 60, Traip 58

KITTERY — Zack Haskell scored the game-winning field goal with eight seconds remaining to lift Gray-New Gloucester to a 60-58 victory over Traip in WMC boys’ basketball action Tuesday.

Senior center Dan Tokarz tossed a game-high 19 points for the Rangers (3-3), who led 31-28 at the midpoint.

Senior guard Tyler St.Pierre collected a team-high 16 points for the Patriots (4-4) in the back-and-forth contest. Andreas Kariotis and Haskell collected 11 points apiece in the winning effort.

Girls’ basketball

Gray-NG 77, Traip 23

GRAY — Grace Kariotis dropped in 17 points, including three from beyond the three-point arc, and Zoe Adams added 13 points as Gray-New Gloucester cruised to a 77-23 victory at home. Point guard Alicia Dumont chipped in with 12 points and eight rebounds for the undefeated Patriots (8-0), and Skye Conley had 11 points.

Winslow 51, Leavitt 44

TURNER — Senior guard Devin Fitzgibbons scored 15 points as Winslow downed Leavitt 51-44 in girls’ action. Heather Kervin added 12 points for the Raiders (7-3), and Alyssa Wood knocked down three three-pointers for nine points. Fitzgibbons and Kervin each pulled down five rebounds.

Chantel Eells put in an all-around effort in the contest for the Hornets (3-7), leading all scorers with 22 points and grabbed 11 boards to go with four blocks. Liz Goulette added seven points and five steals.

Rangeley 56, Valley 20

RANGELEY — Taylor Esty had a stellar performance with 30 points to lead Rangeley to a 56-20 victory over Valley in girls’ basketball action Tuesday.

The Lakers (9-0) jumped out to a 32-11 halftime lead. Blayke Morin contributed 10 points and eight rebounds for Rangeley.

Mt. Abram 39, Telstar 24

SALEM — Sophomore center Olivia Ryan drained a team-leading 10 points to lead Mt. Abram to a 39-24 victory over Telstar in MVC girls’ basketball action Tuesday.

Junior forward Becca Howard notched a game-high 16 points for the Rebels (0-9) with six field goals and four free throws.

The Roadrunners (1-8) kicked up some dust in the third quarter, taking an 18-2 margin in the frame. Sophomore guard Sally Stevens contributed nine points for Mt. Abram.

Buckfield 57, Temple 33

BUCKFIELD — Naudia Wesley tossed a game-high 20 points to lead Buckfield to a 57-33 triumph over Temple in girls’ basketball action Tuesday.

The Bucks (5-4) stomped their way to a 23-11 first quarter lead, and improved to 42-13 at the midpoint. Alexis Bennett contributed 11 points for Buckfield.

Mt. Blue 59, Lewiston 47

FARMINGTON — Eryn Doiron scored 23 points as Mt. Blue coasted to a 59-47 victory over Lewiston in girls’ basketball action Tuesday.

The Cougars (5-3) raced out to a 26-10 first quarter lead. Caitlin Kane and Addie Brinkman posted 14 and 13 points, respectively, for Mt. Blue.

The Blue Devils (1-8) got 14 from Emily Brochu, while Kristina Blais collected 12.

Men’s basketball

Bates 60, Brandeis 55

LEWISTON — Hampden Academy graduate Graham Safford netted 12 points, including the 1,000th of his career in the second half, and added six assists as Bates downed Brandeis 60-55 in a non-conference victory on Tuesday evening in Alumni Gymnasium. Mike Boornazian scored 17 points to lead the Bobcats (9-2).

Safford needed four points entering the game to reach the 1,000-point mark. After goiing scoreless in the opening period, he quickly converted a three-point play 13 seconds into the second half for 999 points, then banked in a jumper with 19:17 left in the half for 1,001.

He became the 31st Bates men’s basketball player to score 1,000, and the first since Brian Ellis in 2011.

Women’s basketball

Bates 57, Lasell 52

LEWISTON —- Molly Brown scored 28 points and Bernadette Connors added 12 as the Bates College women’s basketball team outlasted Lasell College 57-52 Tuesday night in Alumni Gymnasium.

Bates (9-4) has won three straight heading into New England Small College Athletic Conference play. The Bobcats open their league schedule at Middlebury on Friday.

Katie Stopera scored 19 points for the visiting Lasers (3-7), while Sherilyn Small added 11.
