LIVERMORE FALLS — Town Manager Kristal Flagg said she knows someone who was born in October 1917 who may be eligible for a plaque recognizing them as the oldest citizen of the town.

Flagg has been trying to find the oldest person since the Boston Post Cane was returned by the last recipient’s family after her death in October 2014.

She has the names of people born in 1917, 1918 and 1919, she said.

Selectmen have asked Flagg to have a plaque made to present to the town’s oldest citizen. Once that person is known, selectmen will formally present the plaque to the individual.

The Boston Post Cane will be kept at the Town Office for historical purposes.

If anyone knows of someone who is a town resident and born prior to October 1917, they are asked to call the Town Office at 897-3321.
