The Annual Support the Old Town Museum campaign is currently underway with the goal of raising funds to operate the museum and to grow an endowment fund.
The museum receives no government funding and depends on the generosity of the public and memberships to maintain the building and museum displays and programs. All services of the museum are provided by an elected Board of Directors and Old Town area volunteers. The museum is open to the public on regularly scheduled days from May through October. However, any person or group can visit by appointment and the Museum is available, as well, to organizations for their meetings and events.
Any donation large or small will be gratefully accepted and will help the museum with its mission to collect, store and display materials relative to the history of the greater Old Town area. The Old Town Museum is a 501c3 charity and donations are tax deductible as permitted by law. Please make your donation check payable to: Old Town Museum, PO Box 375, Old Town, ME 0446. If you are unable to support us financially, there are many opportunities for volunteering in an area of interest to you. For more information about volunteering or donating, call Carolyn Smith (827-5735) or Carol May (827-8739).
