1940 – 2015

POLAND — Henry Everett McKay, 74, of Poland, passed away at his residence on Monday morning, Jan. 12, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Lewiston on Nov. 11, 1940, a son of the late Raoul and Olive (Delorge) McKay, and had been a resident of this community all of his life.

He married the former Lottie J. Fields on Sept. 1, 1985; she died on Sept. 3, 2009.

Henry spent many years driving trucks for various companies, but spent the past 39 years working for Maine Recycling.

He enjoyed family gatherings, puttering in the garage and traveling with his wife, Lottie.

He is survived by his children, Lisa Lipinski and her husband, Joe, of Augusta, Debbie Raymond and her husband, Walter, of Chelsea, Tabatha Dunton and her husband, Tim, of Augusta, Lloyd Merchant and his wife, Kim, of Turner, Rose Boisvert and her husband, Gerry, of North Carolina, Norman Merchant of North Carolina, Bucky Merchant and his wife, Sue, of Auburn, Tina Cothran of Mechanic Falls, Ernie Merchant of North Carolina, Harold Merchant and his wife, Rhonda, of Poland and John Merchant and his wife, Marie, of Casco; one brother, Harvey McKay and his wife, Linda, of Florida; two sisters, Grace Veilleux and Marlene Kearney, both of New Hampshire; 27 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and his loving companion, Rosie, his Jack Russell, who will greatly miss him.

Besides his parents and his wife of 45 years, he was predeceased by three sisters, Jolene Bruce, Sandra Harriman and Angie Wilson.
